CAHN has had a busy year! The 2016 conference at St. Paul’s Hospital in Vancouver was a wonderful opportunity to connect with new members and re-connect with long-standing colleagues and friends.

It is my pleasure to let you know that Associated Medical Services (AMS) has recently approved a grant to fund student travel and accommodation expenses for the 2018 and 2020 CAHN conferences in the amount of $6000 for each conference. We are extremely grateful for AMS support and feel this funding will facilitate the participation of students, who are the up-and-coming scholars in the field of nursing history in Canada, to our conferences. This year our joint conference with the Canadian Society for the History of Medicine will by held May 27-29 in Toronto at Ryerson University.
I thought I would also take this opportunity to remind you that the deadline for the Vera Roberts Award and the Margaret M. Allemang Award in February 1, 2016. More information about the awards can be found here.

Il me fait plaisir de vous annoncer que l’Associated Medical Services (AMS) va couvrir les frais de transport et de logement pour les étudiantes et les étudiants que participeront aux conférences 2018 et 2020 de l’ACHN, soit 6000$ par conférence.
