American Association for the History of Nursing Thirtieth Annual History of Nursing Conference

The American Association for the History of Nursing has extended the deadline
to submit your individual papers, posters, and panel presentations for the thirtieth annual conference to be co-sponsored with the Cleveland Clinic in Cleveland, Ohio. We encourage you to submit your abstracts by the new deadline of January 31, 2013
. We know that many of you are returning from your winter breaks and this extra time will help in preparing your abstracts. The annual conference provides a forum for researchers interested in sharing new historical research that addresses topics pertinent to the worldwide field of nursing practice, education, and ventures. Guidelines for Submission: By email, send a one-page abstract of a completed study. Submit two copies of your abstract; one must include the title, study, author’s name(s), credentials, institutional affiliation, phone/fax and email. Indicate if submission is a paper, poster, or panel presentation. If more than one author is listed, indicate the name of the contact person. The second copy should include title, study, and presentation type with no other identifying information.
Abstracts must include: Purpose of study, rationale and significance, description of methodology, identification of major primary and secondary sources, findings and conclusions. Use clear headings for each section. Abstracts will be selected on the basis of merit through blind review.
Abstract preparation: Font 12 point Times (New Roman). Margins: One and one-half inches on left and one inch on right, top and bottom. Center the title in upper case and single space the body. Accepted abstracts will be printed as submitted in the conference program; thus, abstract must fit one side of one 8.5″ x 11″ paper.
Submission extended deadline: Abstracts must be emailed on or before the new deadline of January 31, 2013. Late abstracts will not be reviewed.
All conference presenters must be AAHN members.
