The venue for the conference is the Medicine Hat College campus in Medicine Hat, Alberta.  Medicine Hat is a small city situated in southeastern Alberta, along the South Saskatchewan River.  The nearest international airport is in Calgary, Alberta, which is three (3) hours driving distance from Medicine Hat.  There are daily connecting flights from Calgary to Medicine Hat on Air Canada Airlines.  Greyhound Bus Lines provides service from Calgary to Medicine Hat and east to Regina, Saskatchewan (5 hours driving distance) and Winnipeg.  There are also two other services from Calgary to Medicine Hat:

If arriving by air to Medicine Hat and staying on campus, MHC will arrange for van pick up at the Medicine Hat Municipal Airport.  If staying at the Best Western Hotel, there is hotel shuttle service to and from the airport.  Taxi service in Medicine Hat include:  Care Cabs (403-529-2211); Deluxe Central (403-526-3333); and Hat Taxi (403-527-3334).

Canadian Bulletin of Medical History/Bulletin canadien d’histoire de la médecine

The CBHM/BCHM is looking for submissions for its fall 2012 and fall 2013 issues. The journal is interested in any submission that deals broadly with history of health and medicine. We accept manuscripts in English and French.

The Canadian Bulletin of Medical History/Bulletin canadien d’histoire de la médecine is one of the leading journals in the history of medicine. It is published twice a year by Wilfrid Laurier University Press for the Canadian Society for the History of Medicine. The Canadian Bulletin of Medical History presents refereed articles and other information on all aspects of the history of medicine, health care, and related disciplines.

Glennis Zilm, has received the Blythe Eagles Volunteer Leadership Award from the University of British Columbia (UBC).
